SHIYUN modular transporter is fitted with a self-contained hydraulic circuit that operates independently for each module, ensuring reliable performance even in the event of a single-line failure. Each axle line is equipped with an individual hydraulic suspension assembly, mounted to the main frame through a universal joint or slewing bearing, which permits fully independent left-right wheel oscillation without any mechanical interference between adjacent lines — even when traversing severely uneven terrain. A hydraulic interconnection network continuously equalizes pressure across all axle lines, ensuring uniform load sharing and preventing individual axle overload under varying ground conditions. The system provides effective compensation for uneven road surfaces, longitudinal gradients, and cross slopes, maintaining platform stability and cargo safety throughout the entire transport operation, regardless of route complexity.
A distinguishing feature of the upgraded modular trailer series is its hydraulically actuated auto-locking pin system. Module coupling pins are driven by dedicated hydraulic cylinders, enabling operators to achieve precise longitudinal alignment and secure fixation between module units directly from the control station — eliminating the need for manual tools or auxiliary equipment. This engineered coupling mechanism significantly reduces on-site assembly time, enhances operational throughput during transport configuration, and delivers a streamlined, user-friendly experience for field crews.

The primary load-bearing structure of the SHIYUN modular trailer is fabricated from Grade 690 high-strength low-alloy steel. The main longitudinal members employ a fully enclosed box-section profile, delivering superior torsional rigidity and flexural strength under extreme loading conditions. Secondary support beams, positioned beneath and within the main longitudinal members, are likewise built in a closed box configuration and serve as the direct mounting interface for the hydraulic pendular suspension assemblies. A network of box-type cross members and diagonal bracing elements forms a highly rigid lattice framework, effectively resisting longitudinal deflection and torsional distortion throughout the transport cycle.

As a prominent manufacturer in China’s modular trailer sector, SHIYUN bring over two decades of specialized engineering and production expertise to every project. Built upon the European-standard 3-meter platform width, our modular trailer range can be extended to the 5-meter class to accommodate the transport demands of diverse heavy-lift cargoes and wind energy components — significantly enhancing platform stability and operational safety during transit.

The SHIYUN hydraulic modular trailer features a dedicated hydraulic control panel providing centralized management of all hydraulic functions — including suspension adjustment, platform leveling, steering mode selection, and module coupling operations. Clearly labeled switches and indicators enable operators to monitor system status and execute commands with precision. A wireless remote control unit is also supplied, allowing full hydraulic function management from a safe distance with optimal visibility of the load and surroundings. This dual-control architecture — combining local panel operation with wireless remote capability — delivers maximum operational flexibility across varying job site conditions.

Manufacturing Workflow of SHIYUN Modular Trailers
End-of-line dimensional and cosmetic audit, protective wrapping and securing for transit, followed by logistics coordination and on-time delivery.

Every SHIYUN hydraulic modular trailer undergoes a comprehensive pre-delivery testing protocol prior to dispatch. Each unit is subjected to a static overload test at 125%–150% of its rated payload capacity, verifying the structural integrity of the main frame, cross members, and suspension mounting points under extreme loading conditions. In addition to the static load verification, a series of functional performance tests are carried out, including axle load balancing to confirm uniform weight distribution across all axle lines, hydraulic lifting cycle tests to validate suspension stroke and leveling accuracy, and multi-mode steering function tests to ensure precise and synchronized wheel articulation. The trailer is then subjected to dynamic running tests on the proving ground, during which handling stability, braking response, and steering performance are evaluated under loaded conditions. Upon successful completion of all test procedures, a detailed inspection and test report — covering load test data, hydraulic pressure readings, steering parameters, and overall performance results — is compiled and provided to the customer, ensuring full traceability and enabling safe, efficient operation from the very first deployment.
We also provide General accessories for the modular trailers for individual equipment:
4.1 Hydraulic gooseneck .
The hydraulic gooseneck module is engineered for seamless integration with SHIYUN modular trailer platforms, offering precise hydraulic height adjustment to accommodate varying fifth-wheel heights across different prime movers. The primary control valves governing all module functions are centrally mounted on the gooseneck assembly or the dedicated operation panel, providing operators with intuitive, single-point access to every hydraulic command. Through the control valves, hydraulic pressure is smoothly regulated and proportionally distributed between the tractor fifth wheel coupling and the modular trailer units, ensuring balanced load transfer, stable coupling engagement, and consistent platform height control throughout the transport operation.
In addition to the Nicolas Power Hydraulic Gooseneck, we also provide a cost-efficient alternative coupling solution based on a drop deck configuration with a detachable gooseneck. This configuration enables the gooseneck section to be separated from the trailer deck, allowing the front end of the trailer to rest directly on ground level for straightforward loading and unloading of heavy equipment and oversized cargo. Once loading is complete, the gooseneck is reattached and the trailer is restored to its standard transport configuration. This design delivers a practical balance between acquisition cost and operational versatility, making it an attractive option for customers who require reliable heavy-cargo transport capability without the investment associated with a fully powered hydraulic gooseneck
system.

4.2 Drawbar & steering swivel arms
The drawbar assembly is engineered from high-strength forged steel, delivering exceptional structural durability and fatigue resistance under sustained heavy-load conditions. Its precision-machined coupling interface ensures stable steering response and efficient torque transmission between the prime mover and the modular trailer combination. The swivel arms feature a robust pivot bearing design that accommodates multi-directional articulation, enabling smooth steering across a wide range of turning radii. Both the drawbar and swivel arm assemblies are designed for rapid connection and disconnection, minimizing setup time on site. Their proven reliability in demanding heavy-haul transport applications makes them fully compatible with various module configurations, including single-line, multi-line, and hybrid axle arrangements.
4.3 Power pack unit
The SHIYUN modular trailer’s power pack unit serves as the central hydraulic power source for the entire transport system. It integrates a horizontally-mounted diesel engine, a multi-stage hydraulic pump assembly, a high-capacity reservoir, an oil-to-air cooling system, a manifold-mounted valve block, a hydraulic accumulator, and a microprocessor-based electronic control unit.
When coupled with the trailer’s main control console, this power unit delivers precise hydraulic flow for suspension lifting and multi-mode steering actuation. For enhanced operational safety and visibility, the system can be configured with an electro-hydraulic proportional steering valve, enabling fully remote steering control from a safe vantage point. This ensures accurate maneuverability while keeping the operator clear of the immediate load zone during critical positioning tasks.
4.4 Low profile Drop deck
The drop deck module is engineered with an ultra-low deck height and a deep-digging excavator recess, specifically designed to maximize vertical clearance for transporting tall and oversized cargo. The platform features interchangeable floor inserts, allowing operators to customize the deck surface for different load types, while the short bogie spacing ensures superior maneuverability in confined job sites and tight turning radii.
To accommodate varying cargo dimensions, the drop deck is designed with a modular splicing system, enabling the frame to be extended or shortened by selecting different deck lengths to match specific transport requirements. For heavy-haul applications where the payload exceeds 200 metric tons, we strongly recommend the installation of
side-mounted load distribution beams. These beams effectively disperse concentrated weight across the trailer structure, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with road regulations during extreme heavy-lift operations.
4.5 Vessel bridge
The Vessel Bridge is a purpose-built transport platform, specially engineered for the safe and efficient conveyance of extra-large, high-value, and heavy-duty cargoes such as industrial transformers, reactor vessels, pressure vessels, and other oversized project cargo. The platform features a telescopic length adjustment mechanism, enabling the bridge span to be extended or retracted to match the exact longitudinal dimensions of the load. In addition, the structure supports modular connection length expansion, allowing multiple bridge sections to be coupled together for longer cargo profiles. A width expansion system is also integrated, providing adjustable lateral support to accommodate loads of varying widths and ensuring full platform coverage. This combination of adjustable length, expandable width, and modular connectivity allows the Vessel Bridge to adapt to a wide range of cargo weights, tonnages, and dimensional configurations, delivering a versatile and reliable transport solution for the most demanding heavy-lift logistics operations.
4.6 Spacer (Intermediate platform)
The spacer module — also referred to as an intermediate platform — serves as a structural extension element within the SHIYUN modular trailer system. It is designed to extend the effective loading area or increase the axle spacing between adjacent modules, enabling the trailer configuration to accommodate elongated or irregularly shaped cargo without imposing excessive loads on individual axle lines.
Constructed with the same box-section frame architecture as the standard modular platform, the spacer maintains full structural compatibility with the main trailer system. This ensures uniform load distribution, consistent torsional rigidity, and seamless integration with adjacent modules through the standard bolt-plate coupling interface. The spacer can be deployed in various positions within the trailer combination — between axle modules, between a gooseneck and the main deck, or between multiple load-bearing sections — providing operators with the flexibility to tailor the platform length precisely to the cargo profile while preserving the overall structural integrity and road-worthiness of the transport combination.
4.7 Extendable Spacer (Telescopic Intermediate Platform)
The extendable spacer is one of the most widely specified accessories in the SHIYUN modular trailer range. Built upon the same high-strength box-section frame architecture as the standard intermediate platform, it adds a hydraulically actuated telescopic extension mechanism that allows the platform length to be adjusted on site to precisely match the longitudinal span of the cargo.
This telescopic capability makes the extendable spacer particularly well suited for transporting extra-long project cargo such as wind turbine blades, tower sections, steel girders, bridge beams, and other elongated industrial components. Rather than requiring a dedicated fixed-length trailer for each cargo dimension, a single extendable spacer can be configured to accommodate a wide range of load lengths, significantly reducing the need for multiple specialized transport units.
The extendable spacer is designed to be coupled between two standard modular trailer units, effectively bridging the gap and creating a continuous, stable loading surface across the full cargo length. Its modular coupling interfaces ensure full structural compatibility with the SHIYUN system, maintaining uniform load distribution and torsional rigidity throughout the transport combination. This makes it an ideal solution for operators who require a versatile, cost-effective platform extension without compromising the structural performance of the overall trailer configuration.
4.8 High girder bridge
For transport operations involving payloads exceeding 300 metric tons, the High Girder Bridge is the preferred structural solution. It is specifically engineered to address the challenge of highly concentrated loads — a common issue when transporting dense, compact cargo such as large power transformers, reactor vessels, and heavy industrial equipment — where the weight is concentrated over a relatively small footprint rather than being evenly distributed across the trailer platform.
The High Girder Bridge features a deep box-section girder structure with exceptional bending strength and torsional rigidity, enabling it to span across multiple axle lines and effectively redistribute concentrated point loads over a wider structural area. This load-spreading capability prevents excessive stress on individual axle lines, ensuring that the weight is shared uniformly across the entire modular trailer combination and keeping each axle within its rated capacity. The girder bridge is mounted on top of the standard modular trailer platform and can be configured in various lengths and heights to suit the specific cargo profile and ground clearance requirements. Its modular design ensures full compatibility with the SHIYUN trailer system, allowing seamless integration with standard axle modules, power pack units, and coupling interfaces. By bridging the gap between the cargo’s concentrated weight and the trailer’s distributed load-bearing structure, the High Girder Bridge delivers a safe, reliable, and structurally optimized solution for the most demanding ultra-heavy transport applications.
4.9 Long load turntable
For the transportation of extra-long cargo with relatively light structural weight — such as wind turbine blades, long steel girders, pipeline sections, and elongated structural assemblies — the Long Load Turntable offers a highly efficient and cost-effective transport solution. Rather than occupying a full continuous trailer platform, the turntable system supports the cargo at two discrete load-bearing points (front and rear), each independently mounted on a standard modular trailer axle unit.
The front and rear support modules are connected through a synchronized steering linkage system, ensuring that both axle units articulate in unison during turning maneuvers. This coordinated steering maintains the longitudinal alignment of the cargo throughout the transport route, preventing lateral drift and ensuring stable tracking through curves and intersections. The turntable bearing interface at each support point allows controlled rotational movement, accommodating the natural angular displacement that occurs when the trailer combination negotiates bends.
This dual-point support configuration significantly reduces the number of axle modules required compared to a full-length platform, resulting in lower overall transport cost while maintaining full operational safety and maneuverability. The system is fully compatible with the SHIYUN modular trailer platform, utilizing standard coupling interfaces and hydraulic connections for rapid assembly and deployment.
